The Eckert Building was built in 1993 with the help of a donation from Eckert
Industries/The Andrew Project. The five story apartment building not only includes
three studio apartments, but also houses a United Artists movie theatre complex
underground. The Eckert Building sits on the site of the original Legotec Theatre.
The top floor is available for quiet contemplation or small gatherings.The front yard of the building was once the Sandy Hook Highway. When the highway was re-routed, this front yard space was sodded and a small park was planted.
